Why Houston will become a national reshoring epicenter – and how to participate

We believe Houston can become a national reshoring epicenter. GHMA is pleased to announce a partnership with Reshoring Initiative (RI) to expand RI’s Import Substitution Program specifically for the Houston market.
Utilizing RI tools and data, our goal is to help member OEMs and brands to reevaluate offshore locations and sourcing decisions; and member contract manufacturers and suppliers compete with imported products:
For OEM/Brands:

Survey imported products/components for which they would like to find a local supplier. Especially with the tariffs

Measure actual offshore costs through total-cost-of-operating (TCO) tutorials

Document and promote reshoring successes
For Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers

Train on selling OEM/Brands utilizing TCO to demonstrate benefits
